Privacy policy

Kastovia Holdings LLC is the product owner, licensor, support operator, Dodo Payments business, and privacy controller for PDF Reference Linker. The Chrome Web Store listing identifies Oualid Youssfi as the individual publisher and distributor acting on behalf of Kastovia. The extension is publicly available from the Chrome Web Store.
1. Files stay on your device
Selected PDFs, extracted text, internal bookmarks, imported CSV mappings, reference labels, target pages, match decisions, CSV reports, and linked-PDF exports are processed in the extension on your device. PDF contents, filenames, mapping labels, and target pages are not uploaded to Kastovia, Dodo Payments, Google, or an AI service.
The extension reads only files you select. It creates a new download when you export and does not overwrite the source PDF. It does not use OCR, remote document processing, advertising trackers, or browser-history collection.
2. Local extension data
The extension stores only its license key, activation instance identifier, and public business and product identifiers in Chrome extension storage. Matching preferences, PDF contents and mappings are held only in memory while the extension page is open. Do not use document text or confidential information as a license key.
Removing the extension or clearing its storage removes that local license data and may require reactivation. Generated reports and PDFs are ordinary downloads managed by you and your browser.
3. Licensing and payment
Previewing and producing the match report work without sending document data. A paid linked-PDF export requires an online license check. Licensing requests send the license key and, when applicable, its activation instance identifier and the activation name Chrome - PDF Reference Linker to Dodo Payments. Dodo also receives ordinary connection data such as your IP address. It does not contain the PDF, filename, extracted text, labels, target pages, or match report.
Dodo Payments processes checkout, tax, payment, refund, and receipt information under its own privacy terms. Kastovia may receive the purchaser's contact details, order reference, product, payment status, license entitlement, and refund status. Kastovia does not receive the full payment-card number.
4. Website and support
Kastovia's hosting providers may process ordinary request data such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp, and security logs to deliver and protect this website. If you contact support, Kastovia processes the details you send to answer the request, diagnose the issue, handle a purchase, or meet legal obligations.
Do not send confidential PDFs, document text, filenames, mappings, full license keys, or payment-card details. Use a non-sensitive sample when reproduction is necessary.
5. Retention, rights, and contact
Local document data remains under your control. Licensing, transaction, and support records are retained only as needed to operate the product, prevent abuse, meet accounting or legal duties, resolve disputes, and provide support. Applicable privacy rights may include access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or complaint to a supervisory authority; legal retention duties may limit deletion.
