TaskBound for ClickUp · Privacy

Privacy policy

Effective 26 October 2026

TaskBound for ClickUp is owned and licensed by Kastovia Holdings LLC. Kastovia remains the contractual counterparty, support operator, Dodo Payments business, and privacy controller. The Chrome Web Store listing is intended to identify Oualid Youssfi as the individual publisher and distributor acting on behalf of Kastovia. This Store role does not transfer product ownership or change those responsibilities.

1. Captured ClickUp task data

Whenever you open TaskBound, it checks the active tab URL to determine whether the page is a supported official ClickUp task. It reads and stores the tab URL and title only when a supported task is captured automatically or with the capture action. From that supported page it derives the task ID, task title, canonical task URL, and a workspace identifier when one is available. TaskBound does not request a ClickUp API token, connect to a ClickUp account, read task lists, or write time entries, tasks, comments, or other ClickUp data.

Captured task details stay in Chrome's local extension storage. They are not sent to Kastovia, Dodo Payments, ClickUp, or another analytics service by TaskBound.

2. Local timer, blocklist, and history data

TaskBound stores your selected task, chosen blocklist domains, focus and break settings, live timer state, trial start count, and up to the 1,000 newest history records locally. A history record includes the task ID, title, link, session times, planned and focused minutes, and outcome. CSV exports are generated locally and remain under your control.

TaskBound does not include advertising analytics or cloud task-history synchronization.

3. Chrome permissions and blocking

Temporary active-tab access lets TaskBound check the active tab URL when its popup opens and read the URL and title for a supported task capture. Local storage keeps product state. Alarms let timers complete while the extension interface is closed. Declarative request rules perform blocking while a focus session is active.

When you add a domain, Chrome asks for optional access to that domain and its subdomains. TaskBound queries current tab URLs against only the chosen blocklist patterns to find matching tabs for immediate reload when blocking starts or ends. The matching tab IDs exist only transiently in memory during that query and reload; they are never stored. It uses the granted access only for that matching and reload behavior and to block navigation during focus. It does not inspect, record, or transmit page contents or keep a general browsing history.

4. Licensing and payment

The three-start trial does not require an account. After the trial, a new focus start requires an online Pro entitlement check. TaskBound sends a license key and browser activation identifier to Dodo Payments over HTTPS. The license key, activation identifier, and public license status are stored locally. Task details, blocklist domains, timer state, and focus history are not included in license requests.

A Pro purchase uses checkout operated by Dodo Payments. Dodo handles payment and billing information. Kastovia can access customer contact, order, license, transaction, and refund records for fulfilment, support, accounting, and refunds. Dodo and network providers may process technical connection data such as IP address.

5. Product website and support

Website hosting may process normal request information such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, and request time for delivery, reliability, and security. If you email support, Kastovia receives the information you choose to send. Do not send full license keys, card details, confidential task titles, private ClickUp links, blocklists, browsing history, or sensitive CSV exports.

6. Sharing, sale, and advertising

Kastovia does not sell captured task data, blocklist domains, focus history, or license data. TaskBound does not use this information for advertising, creditworthiness, or unrelated profiling. Information is disclosed only to providers needed for checkout, licensing, hosting, and support, or where required by law.

7. Your choices, retention, and contact

You can remove a domain and revoke its optional site access in Chrome. Clear history from TaskBound, deactivate a license before transferring an activation, clear extension storage, or uninstall the extension to remove local data. Provider and support records follow applicable legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, dispute, and provider retention requirements.

For access, correction, deletion, or privacy questions about data held by Kastovia, email contact@kastovia.com.
