Install, then capture one individual task

Install TaskBound from the Chrome Web Store and open an individual task on the official ClickUp website. Open the extension and capture the active task. TaskBound reads the task ID, title, and link from that page and stores them locally with the session. It does not connect to a workspace, request a ClickUp API token, or import other tasks.

02

Choose one distracting domain first

Add a site only when you want it blocked during focus. Chrome asks for optional access to that chosen domain; TaskBound does not receive broad access to every website by default. The active rule covers the chosen domain and its subdomains. Repeat this step only for other domains you deliberately add.

03

Save drafts before starting focus

Choose a focus duration from 5 to 180 minutes. Starting a session reloads already-open tabs on blocked domains so the rule applies immediately. Save form drafts, messages, or unsent work on those sites before you start. TaskBound keeps the captured task, selected duration, breaks, and chosen blocklist locally, so a normal extension reload can restore the saved setup.

04

Pause or stop to remove the block

During focus, visits to a chosen domain show the block screen. Pausing, stopping early, starting a configured break, or finishing the session removes the active blocking rules. An active session can continue and unblock without an entitlement request. TaskBound does not block other browsers, mobile apps, operating-system apps, or domains you did not select.

05

Export a local task history

Completed focus records stay in the browser profile, with up to the newest 1,000 records available for CSV export. This history is separate from ClickUp's own time-tracking features: TaskBound does not create or edit ClickUp time entries. TaskBound is independent software and is not affiliated with or endorsed by ClickUp.

06

Use the three-start trial before buying

The complete version 1 workflow includes three focus starts in total. After the trial, each new start requires an online Pro entitlement check. Pro costs EUR 29 once, tax included, has no expiry for version 1, and supports up to three active browser installations. Dodo emails the license key after purchase; paste it into TaskBound to activate an available slot.

No. It captures the ID, title, and link from the individual ClickUp task page you open.

What happens to blocked sites when a session stops?
